Stay in the Game: How Better Mobility Helped Me Play Baseball Without Pain

Path Stroke 1

I began participating in the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fantasy Camp in 2014. Playing in these camps allows me to play with former Cardinals legends and interact with professional players I admired as a child. It’s an intense four days of playing, with tryouts, instruction, and six games.

Getting back on the baseball field makes you feel 12 years old again, until your first step and “sprinting” on the field remind you that you aren’t 12 anymore.

As a StretchLab Blakeney member, I wanted to find a better way to minimize injuries and keep my body feeling strong so I could continue participating in the camps.

Before camp in January 2026, I did a five-session trial at StretchLab in an attempt to minimize injuries to my lower half and pitching arm. After finishing camp this year, I felt better than I had in previous camps relying on my own stretching.

With these positive results, I committed to a six-month program to improve my flexibility for weight training and cardio workouts.

StretchLab is helping me stay in the game as I prepare for my next camp in September at the Field of Dreams in Iowa.
